Ok I dont know where to start. Im just going to say that I think I have come a long way as far as my overall game. Over the past couple of years I have really changed how I throw the ball. I have fixed my span and pitches, and therefore I feel like I am throwing the ball a lot better and more consistant. I feel like I am an all around better bowler. I hit the pocket a lot more, and have become a lot better spareshooter. Your probably thinking thats good, but I seem to not carry near as good as I used to. Before I changed I had 2 800s 1 300 multiple 770+s and 11 in a rows. That was in about a years time. While I shot all of those I could barely average 205. Since then over the past 3 years I have a lot of 700s but very not many over 750. While I shoot a lot more 700s they arent as high. I do have 2 300s this year in a tougher house. I think the thing I notice the most is that I am hitting the pocket a whole lot more, but I cant get the 10 out now. I have tried everything I know to do, and nothing seems to work. Im only in one league a week right now and travel league. On my Monday night league over the past 3 weeks I am averaging about 227 or so. The first week I shot 300 the first game and since that game I have been averaging about 3 to 4 ten pins a game. On this past Monday I shot 212 with 3 ten pins I threw 2 bad shots to start the game then didnt miss the pocket the rest of the night. The next game I left 4 and I shot 227. The last game I left 3 and I think I shot 258. I went 10 pin 7 in a row then 10 pin 10 pin. About a month ago I switched to all Ebonite balls. I havent thrown one in a year or so, but I have heard a lot of good things about themĀ and needed a change. I am open for any advice to get me over the hump. I know that no matter what you will leave some 10 pins I just feel like I leave a lot more than other people I bowl with. I have tried to move up back left and right. I tried to loft it a little, but it all seems to be the same. One good thing about going through this is that I can now spare almost all of them. My main thing is that I feel like I am stuck in between a handicaper with no pins and a scratch bowler. While I cant compete with handicap, I cant strike enough to bowl scratch either. I always seem to be just out of the cut either way. Well I appreciate any help.

I'm no expert (only avg'ing 196 currently), but I find that occasionally staying course on the line you are hitting well, but changing the speed you hit it with, helps.
ScottA hair more speed might hit lighter, but get the ultimate reaction you want. Some nights the mixers rule, at least in my experience. I'd rather hit flush every time, but if all else fails I'll try to bounce them off each other and see what happens.
Good luck!
